Space Coast Dance Club is located in Melbourne, Florida, with members from cities and towns throughout Central Florida. We are only 60 miles from Orlando and a short distance from Kennedy Space Center and the beaches. Space Coast Dance Club, Inc. (SCDC) is organized and operates as a nonprofit social and educational organization under the Nonprofit Corporation Act for the purpose of preserving, studying, teaching and promoting public interest in all forms of social dancing. The club events are a variety of dances, workshops, theme parties and member gatherings. Details are available on this website, Facebook (Space Coast Dance Club), or by contacting the club. Members and others are updated periodically by email.The Club offers a variety of music to support West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Night Club 2, Cha Cha, Country dances and more. Music may vary by the theme presented.

The Space Coast Dance Club (SCDC) is looking to welcome a new Board Member to help us continue building a vibrant, connected, and inspiring dance community.

At SCDC, we’re more than just a dance club, we’re a dance family. Our mission is to create a space where dancers of all levels feel supported, encouraged, and excited to grow. Through bi-monthly events, shared learning, and meaningful connections, we’re committed to elevating both the individual dancer and the West Coast community as a whole.

What does serving on the SCDC Board look like?

* Helping shape events, experiences, and opportunities for dancers
* Giving back to a community that gives so much

Who can apply?
* Active SCDC members in good standing
* Individuals who are passionate about West Coast Swing and community building

What’s the process?
* Express your interest by reaching out to Deb
* Submit a brief application for consideration
* The Nominating Committee will review all submissions
* Selected nominees will be presented to the current Board
* The Board will elect incoming Directors by vote

Board members serve and help guide the club while continuing to grow personally and within the community.
