Space Coast Dance Club is located in Melbourne, Florida, with members from cities and towns throughout Central Florida. We are only 60 miles from Orlando and a short distance from Kennedy Space Center and the beaches. Space Coast Dance Club, Inc. (SCDC) is organized and operates as a nonprofit social and educational organization under the Nonprofit Corporation Act for the purpose of preserving, studying, teaching and promoting public interest in all forms of social dancing. The club events are a variety of dances, workshops, theme parties and member gatherings. Details are available on this website, Facebook (Space Coast Dance Club), or by contacting the club. Members and others are updated periodically by email.The Club offers a variety of music to support West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Night Club 2, Cha Cha, Country dances and more. In honor of this special holiday, there will be no dance that week so everyone can enjoy time with family and friends, celebrate our country, and make the most of this meaningful occasion.

Kick off the night with an exciting West Coast Swing workshop taught by none other than the dynamic duo, Derek Leyva and Jennifer Norris! With their award-winning expertise, approachable teaching style, and passion for dance, this workshop is perfect for ALL levels—from beginners to seasoned dancers.

Derek and Jennifer bring a wealth of knowledge:

✨ Derek’s impressive background includes a degree in Dance and years of teaching and performing across the U.S. and Canada. He’s also the President of the Jacksonville West Coast Swing Club!
✨ Jennifer, a classically trained dancer, fell in love with the freedom and connection of West Coast Swing. Together, Derek and Jennifer are CHAMPIONS in their field, placing 2nd in the Sophisticated Routine Division at The Open (2024) and earning countless accolades over the years.

What to expect:

👉 A fun mix of technique, patterns, and styling that you can use on the dance floor.
👉 Engaging, hands-on instruction with plenty of opportunities to practice.
👉 An inclusive atmosphere where dancers of all levels feel welcome.

Through bi-monthly events, shared learning, and meaningful connections, we’re committed to elevating both the individual dancer and the West Coast community as a whole.

* Submit a brief application for consideration
* The Nominating Committee will review all submissions
* Selected nominees will be presented to the current Board
* The Board will elect incoming Directors by vote

Board members serve and help guide the club while continuing to grow personally and within the community.
